I want to thank everyone who took the time to read my posts. That worker at the food stamp office was just plain mean and doesn't care if my grandson gets a gift for Christmas or not and I've been so worried about what I'm going to do for Christmas. Since I've never had to ask for help, I had no idea how to go about getting him on a list of some sort and she refused to tell me. He is 11 years old and understands we don't have any money, but I wanted to get him some kind of a gift.

My husband worked for 15 years at his first job when he was laid off from it. He worked 20 years at his second job when they down-sized. He had Spinal Meningitis when he was a baby and then had Polio when he was a small child. He's had a lot of pain in his back and legs in the past few years and was seeing a doctor when he lost his job and insurance. I had back surgery several years ago but the pain never did go away. I can sit for a little while and stand/walk for a little while. I have been walking down the road just a little bit at a time for months to pick up cans to sell, and made enough to buy a heater but didn't have anything left for Christmas.

 I have 8 grandchildren 1 great drandson he's 7 months old. my three daughters are single mothers and pride stands the way of get help. if i could get one gift each for the moms to give you will never know what that will mean to thewm. My oldest Grandson told his ROCT luiet. that his Bro.& sis was'nt getting anything for christmas they had to move mom gave them the choice for the home or Christmas they took the home. My 5 yr old gradson took 10.00 off his teachers desk and give to his mom and told her to pay the power bill so they would'nt cut it off.they are going to cut it off Dec 15, which is her daughters 8 th Birthday. if you can help we will appericate

I want to help out my Mom so I am wishing for my youngest sib to get a Christmas, My mom is unable to work due to spending most of her time at her parents taking care of them and she also has a disabled husband.

She has five kids her oldest ones are old enough to understand,her 13 yr old doesn't care that she cant work and still wants everything but MY 10 YR OLD SISTER is truely an Angel, she never asks for anything, She does everything she can possibly do for everyone never expecting anything in return. She knows Christmas presents won't come this year and she is totally understanding but she is a kid, and you can tell in her eyes it makes her sad. She doesn't have a father(he left when she was tiny) so while my moms other kids have another side of a family to go to for Christmas, She doesn't have anyone else.

This is a child that deserves the biggest Christmas imaginable and I just want her to see how proud and thankful we all are for her and everything she does.

I am a full time student/ Single Mom and am trying to work p/t too and I plan on trying to help my mom as much as i can,but I also have a child this Christmas, but Luckily mine isn't old enough to really know,understand or remember.

I would appreciate getting a couple of games for them to play. The don't have any at all at this point. I think games would thrill them so much. Plus my other half and I can sit down with them and play also and teach them =) Sounds like lots of fun!
